Pitch! Featuring www.EastVillageBoys.com

Pitch! www.EastVillageBoys.com 11/30, 9:30PM, $7 (no drink minimum), at The Lounge at Dixon Place, hosted by Greg Walloch & Mark Allen with field correspondent, Karl Jones. Featuring guest editors Weston Bingham and Richard Welch of EASTVILLAGEBOYS.COM with performers Tommy Vallette, Sam Benjamin, Kyle Kupres, Charlie Gaeta, and a special guest video pitch from Colby Keller.

The old saying goes" "If you can remember the East Village, you weren't there!" will be proven wrong at November 30th's PITCH!, as we welcome esteemed writers and performers CHARLIE GAETA (sex diarist for New York magazine, contributing writer Saturday Night Live 'Weekend Update'), SAM BENJAMIN (author of American Gangbang: A Love Story and Confessions of An Ivy League Pornographer), KYLE KUPRES (violinist and performer Old Queen and the Sea, PussyFaggot) and TOMMY VALLETTE (actor If, LOW, playwrite Learning to Listen [or Seeing Sound]), and a special guest video pitch from COLBY KELLER (Artist/Porn Star, Big Shoe Diaries) ...all going up against WESTON BINGHAM & RICHARD WELCH (Co-Creators and Co-Editors at EastVillageBoys.com), who'll be responding to performer and audience pitches, as well as bringing special guest COLE ESCOLA to perform some of the most questionable submissions EastVillageBoys.com have received over the last year.

Come for the insanity, stay for the networking! Live video! True Confessions! Gays! Straights! Non-committals! ...oh, and writers! AUDIENCE PITCHES ARE WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED! Come get in line! Your hosts GREG WALLOCH and MARK ALLEN it lively and irreverent! Willing audience members are invited to submit a rapid fire pitch with field correspondent, KARL JONES who brings us your pitch from the audience and the streets. Will the performers have what it takes? Will you have what it takes? Witness amazing stories, insightful editorial commentary, and the intense process of being a writer more closely than you've ever imagined. What are you waiting for? It's time for your big break. "Pitch!"

The Moth and USA Network's Characters Unite National Storytelling Tour "A More Perfect Union: Stories of Prejudice and Power"

USA Network and The Moth, In Partnership With Charter and Comcast, Extend Award-Winning Characters Unite National Storytelling Tour

"A More Perfect Union: Stories of Prejudice and Power"

The tour resumes this month in Washington, D.C. with a Mainstage showcase on October 26 featuring Christopher Gorham, Forest Whitaker, Meghan McCain, Greg Walloch, Kevin Jacobsen and Jeffery Rudell.

USA Network has partnered with multichannel video distributors across the country to extend its Beacon Award-winning Characters Unite National Storytelling Tour with the renowned nonprofit storytelling organization The Moth. The tour includes a series of Mainstage shows and educational workshops in communities and high schools across the country, as part of USA's Characters Unite public service campaign to combat prejudice and discrimination. Storytellers in the Mainstage shows and the high school programs tell a true story, live on stage, without notes, about facing some form of bigotry or discrimination and how the experience changed their outlook and empowered them to make a positive change. The goal is to use the power of storytelling to bring diverse people together, encourage more productive dialogue and foster greater understanding and acceptance.

The tour resumes this month in Washington, D.C. in partnership with Comcast, with a Mainstage showcase on October 26th at the Newseum and will feature Special Guest Christopher Gorham from USA's hit series Covert Affairs and stories from Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker; Author and Award-winning Blogger Meghan McCain; Comedian and Performer Greg Walloch; Co-founder of Kindness Above Malice (KAM), Kevin Jacobsen; and Jeffery Rudell, Writer and 2003 Winner of The Moth's Story Slam Championship.

The complementary high school program will take place at Ballou High School and will commemorate National Bullying Prevention Month. Nine students will participate in four days of after-school workshops to learn the art and craft of storytelling and then will share their true tales at an in-school assembly on October 27th.
