Last weekend I was invited to perform at Coney Island's Burlesque at the Beach with Epstein & Hassan a.k.a. The Black & The Jew.
Some of the performers featured were The Great Fredini and the lovely Remy Vicious.
Coney Island USA is located at 1208 Surf Avenue in Brooklyn.
See you by the seaside next Summer!

Castle of Imagination

Poland: Performance-

I've just returned from presenting work at Castle of Imagination: the International Performance Art Festival in Poland. The festival began in Northern Poland in Ustka and Slupsk then continued to Torun and Krakow.

The festival featured 35 artists from 13 countries: from Israel (Yaron David, Beni Kori, Yaacov Chefez - video), USA (Greg Walloch, Rose Hill, Peter Grzybowski - video), Germany (Parycja German, Patrick Jambon, Alexandra Gneissl), Ireland (Anne Seagrave), Italy (Giovanni Fontana), Poland (Karolina Stepniowska, Ewa Rybska, Wladyslaw Kazmierczak, Dariusz Fodczuk, Wojtek Kowalczyk, Danuta Nawrocka, Karolina Wiktor, Aleksandra Kubiak, Wicza, Paweł Kwaśniewski, Anna Syczewska), Czech Rep. (Jiri Suruvka, Ivanna Obstova), Canada (Maria Legault, Shannon Cochrane, John Boehme), Finland (Leena Kela), Latvia (Group AUSEKLIC / USINS), Holland (Peter Baren), Egypt (Omar Ghayat), Belarus (Denis Romanowski).

Meeting everybody at this festival and having the privilege of experiencing their work was profound in my life in ways words can't express. It is something special that I will remember forever.

Stay tuned for another Blog entry for Castle of Imagination.

California Dreaming

San Francisco: Luxury-
It has been an unbelievably hot summer here in New York City and I've been trying to find ways to pamper myself through the heat. So lately while I'm laying around naked on the kitchen tile after my fourth shower of the day, I find myself dreaming of being in San Francisco. If you can't travel to your favorite city then just bring the luxury of that city to you. Visit: Citizen Cake, Nancy Boy, Recchiuti Chocolate. Keep dreaming...

It's now so easy being green!

Brooklyn, NY: Food-
Yesterday I got the urge to travel. I packed a bag, grabbed my passport and headed out to Fort Greene, Brooklyn for the afternoon.
I met my brother Jeff for a late lunch, it was actually about 5pm, but sometimes that still counts as lunch in New York. You folks who often find yourselves at a 24hr diner or deli at 2am know what I'm talking about... Not only is my brother Jeff Walloch an awesome guy to be related to, he's also a truly gifted photographer.
We walked down Fulton Street enjoying the sun and happened upon Habana Outpost - 755-757 Fulton Street Brooklyn.

We wanted a place to sit outside and enjoy the weather and this seemed perfect. The food was delicious! We both had The Grilled Corn Mexican Style, The Chicken Diablo Sandwich and a drink for about $10. With great company, an affordable menu and such wonderful food, what more could ya ask for?
Habana Outpost has so much more! What makes Habana Outpost really special is that it is New York City's first solar-powered restaurant and market. Open from May 21, 2005 until Halloween there will be an outdoor market with local up-and-coming artists, merchants and underground designers selling their wares.
At Habana Outpost food wastes are composted, paper materials used are post-consumer waste recycled material, soaps are one hundred percent biodegradable, non-toxic, phosphate free, never tested on animals, and they use bio plastics which are biodegradable and will be included in their food waste composting program. This is a great place to access neighborhood talents, support local economies and go Green! So visit Brooklyn, it's not so far and may-be I'll see you there.
