All The People You Love on July 2nd
BOGS VISIONARY ORCHESTRA
Bogs Visionary Orchestra’s imaginative approach to performance has won them audiences at alternative venues like the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. The inclusion of their song Everybody’s Broken on Mews Too: An Asthmatic Kitty Compilation attests to their quirky nature and Indie Folk appeal. Led by the simple arrangements, memorable lyrics and peculiar vocals of artist/performer A. Bogs, BVO’s motto always rings true, “Art is for folks!” Check ‘em out at www.bogsvisionaryorchestra.com
ADAM SANK
Adam Sank is the host of Adam Sank’s Gay Bash - a hilarious monthly showcase at New York's Comix comedy club. He also hosts the popular Electro Shock Therapy Comedy Hour weekly at Therapy bar. He has performed at major clubs throughout the city, as well as Fire Island (The Ice Palace at Cherry Grove), Rehoboth Beach (The Blue Moon), the Poconos (Rainbow Mountain Resort) and Cancun, Mexico (Atlantis Events). He has appeared on VH-1's Best Week Ever and ClearChannel Pride Radio, and he opened for Hal Sparks during six sold-out shows during Gay Pride 2005. Check out www.AdamSank.com
BRENT EDEN MCCOY
Brent Eden McCoy grew up on a dairy farm in Northeastern Vermont. He spent his formative years tending to the cows and running a weed whacker. He then learned to juggle, and despite several years of social isolation and esoteric dorkdom, he has become quite the showman. He's performed at festivals, theaters, airports, laundromats, (okay, not really laundromats) around the world. Whether he's wielding five safety cones, untangling a tape measure, or climbing atop a big orange ball, Brent's humble and charming character will clown his way into your heart. Brent lives in Brooklyn, NY, where practices, paints, and prolongs his childhood. Check out www.BrentMcCoy.com
PROJECT JENNY, PROJECT JAN
No, Brooklyn’s Project Jenny, Project Jan has neither a Jenny nor a Jan, but the music of vocalist Jeremy Haines and electronic maestro Sammy Rubin will find you hard pressed to pigeonhole. Project Jenny, Project Jan released their first self-titled EP and offered the mp3s up free-and-legal on their site. The press took notice, calling it a “shockingly dynamic, danceable, and hilarious affair” (Billboard) and “incomparable” (Deli Magazine). Their engaging live show got its well-deserved attention too: “This is a band that should be taken seriously, even while singing about homemade sex tapes and the Chinatown bus.” (gothamist.com)Check out: www.ProjectJennyProjectJan.com

Jim McBitchy
New Jersey: News - Former Gov. Jim McGreevey said he's not to blame for poor sales of his estranged wife's book, instead blaming the failure of her book in part to "...her awful appearance on the 'Oprah' show, where she wore an inappropriate and ill fitting ball gown with a plunging neckline." He's sitting at home in the afternoon watching Oprah and ranking on women's clothing? Hey, congratulations Jim McGreevey, you are now officially gay!

Ladies Choice?
New York: Fashion-
A sure sign of the regressive times we're living in, Club Monaco on Broadway offers women these snappy, modified maid uniforms. Hey ladies, why not embrace your subservience in style?
Or perhaps you might want to stroll across the street to Gap where they'd like to dress you up in The Boyfriend Jean. Perfect! Now your boyfriend gets to close his eyes and pretend that he's actually making out with a dude. What's a girl to wear?!?

Gungrease + Butthole = Fearsome!
Artist Spotlight: Fearsome-
Oh my god do I love Fearsome! I once referred to the New York based sketch comedy team as being "like a dirty Up With People". Their new show Gungrease at The P.I.T. does not disappoint!Gungrease features the talents of Katherine Bryant, Shayna Ferm, Alex Goldberg, and Chris O'Connor, (absent this time out are Jaime Hayes and Dan Zalevsky).
Subversively sexy with an absurdly camp sensibility, Fearsome cheerfully regales the audience with a cautionary folk song for thirty-somethings about the perils of FUPA (Fat Upper Pussy Area) as well as a rap about the pleasures of "gungrease 'n butthole".
One day when I meet my soulmate, I want him to be just like Fearsome, charmingly filthy with a really big heart!
Don't miss this show, it will make you very happy. Get advance tickets to Fearsome's show Gungrease at The P.I.T in New York. April 20th at 8PM.

Can you feel it?
New York: Performance -
Spring is in the air and the sap is rising! Can you feel it? I hope you are taking time to get out and enjoy yourself and others.
Thanks to all the folks who came out to All The People You Love at The Cutting Room. The show featured amazing performances by Mike Albo, Ophira Eisenberg, Sxip Shirey, and Jason Wachtelhausen. This was such a special evening for me, to have the opportunity to work with artists who I love and am so inspired by. A wonderful time was had by all. Look for future All The People You Love shows this spring and summer!
Recently, I was invited to perform at Where Have You Been? Conversations on Travel hosted by the pretty darn adorable Jeff Stark at Blue Stockings Bookstore. Anarchists, Irina and Jamie Ratt of the Love and Resistance Collective talked about interviewing fellow anarchists in Mexico and South America. I told "The Cake Story". Tom Guiney spoke about digging up bombs in Laos! If you enjoy stories and travel, you should totally stop by and check it out!
Finally, a little advice for the ladies in Time Out New York.

Sxip's Hour Of Charm
New York: Performance -
What an amazing year it's been so far! Sxip's Hour of Charm at Joe's Pub was truly sublime. I am honored to have been a part of it and to have shared the stage with such supremely talented folks.(Pictured left: Corn Mo, Sxip Shirey, the ears of Scotty The Blue Bunny, Greg Walloch, Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls, and Red Bastard) Photo courtesy of Ruth Arnold. Also check out this beautiful illustration by Michael Arthur!
Keepin' the love vibe going, I'm excited to be hosting All The People You Love at Chris Noth's Cutting Room. Featuring Mike Albo, Ophira Eisenberg, Sxip Shirey, and Jason Wachtelhausen. I hope you'll join me for what I know will be a lovely evening of storytelling and music.
Also, I'm absolutely beside myself to be appearing with two legends: Pulitzer Prize winner Jimmy Breslin at The Moth in New York City and Madame of Madame's Place and Solid Gold fame at Art Explosion in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!
Come out and see an actual LIVE show! Aren't you tired of YouTube yet?
